Phalloplasty

Phalloplasty is the surgical creation of a penis. In this procedure, surgeons collect one or more “wings” of skin and other tissue from a donor site on your body (usually the abdomen) and use this to create a penis and urethra.

Our surgeons offer phalloplasty as a gender confirmation procedure to eligible patients aged 18 years and older who have been living in their defined gender full-time for at least 12 months. Our talented team has the necessary knowledge and experience for transgender youth and young adults.

Gender affirmation surgeries are a group of surgical procedures that some transgender and gender-diverse people use to help confirm their gender identity. Phalloplasty is a type of “sub-surgery” (genital surgery) available to transgender men or those who identify as transmasculine. It involves surgically creating a penis from skin and other tissue taken from another part of your body.
